1. What are cookies?

Fixena may use cookies and similar technologies to make the website and platform work, keep accounts secure, remember preferences, understand how the service is used and improve the Fixena experience.
Some technologies may operate without storing a traditional cookie.
2. How Fixena uses cookies
Depending on the features available, Fixena may use cookies or similar technologies for the following purposes:
Strictly necessary technologies
These are technologies required for Fixena to function.

maintaining secure sessions;

maintaining the shopping/subscription or payment process where applicable;
protecting the platform; and
providing core functionality.
These technologies cannot generally be disabled through a cookie preference tool because doing so may prevent Fixena from working correctly.

remembering aspects of your session; and
supporting optional platform functionality.
Where consent is legally required, these technologies will only be activated after the appropriate consent has been given.

Fixena may use analytics technologies to understand how people use the website and platform.
Analytics may help us understand:
which pages are visited;
which features are used;
where users encounter problems;
how users navigate the platform;
how the website performs; and
how Fixena can be improved.
We intend to use analytics in a proportionate way and avoid collecting information that is unnecessary for understanding and improving the service.
The specific analytics provider will be identified in the relevant privacy and cookie information once selected.
Where analytics technologies require consent under applicable law, they will not be activated until the appropriate consent has been obtained.
5. Marketing and advertising technologies
Fixena may introduce marketing or advertising functionality in the future.
If we use cookies or similar technologies for:
targeted advertising;
behavioural advertising;
tracking across websites;
advertising measurement; or
similar purposes,
we will provide appropriate information and obtain consent where required.
We do not currently intend to use advertising cookies as a core part of the Fixena product.

Some Fixena features may rely on third-party services that use cookies or similar technologies.
These may include providers used for:
authentication;
payments;
analytics;
security;
embedded content;
communications; or
other platform functionality.
Third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
The final list of third-party technologies used by Fixena will be maintained and reviewed as the platform develops.

Where applicable, Fixena will provide a cookie consent mechanism allowing you to choose which non-essential cookies or similar technologies you wish to accept.
You should be able to:

reject optional cookies; and
change your preferences later.
We will not rely on consent for technologies that are genuinely necessary for the service where applicable law permits their use without consent.

block cookies;
block third-party cookies; and
receive warnings before cookies are stored.
However, blocking necessary cookies may affect the operation of Fixena.
9. Cookies and your Fixena account
Some technologies are necessary to maintain a secure authenticated session.
For example, when you log into Fixena, technologies may be used to ensure that:
your session remains active;
your account is protected;
unauthorised users cannot access your account; and
Fixena knows which authenticated account is interacting with the platform.
These technologies are important to the security of the Home Passport and other private account information.
10. Cookies and the Home Passport
Cookies themselves are not intended to make your Home Passport publicly accessible.
A cookie or session identifier may help Fixena determine that you are an authenticated user, but it does not give other users access to your Home Passport.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
As Fixena develops, we may introduce new technologies or third-party services.
We may therefore update this Cookie Policy to reflect:
new functionality;
new analytics providers;
new payment systems;
new security technologies;
new integrations; or
changes in applicable law.
Where a change requires renewed consent, we will provide an appropriate opportunity to provide that consent.
